I can relate to this. It's funny how things often need to hit some kind of low point before the real change happens. Sometimes it takes reaching that "enough is enough" moment before we find the motivation to make different choices or see situations more clearly.

The low points shake me up and help me see what I actually want in life. We grow through either inspiration or desperation, right?!

After putting myself through university working 3 jobs, I walked away from my career at its pinnacle in my 20s to raise my children. Today I'm walking away from a life narrative whose foundation was fear after reaching my enough-is-enough. And I just got turned down for 2 jobs as a bank teller whose only requirement was a high school diploma. After a number of expletives and tears this morning, I found this in my in-box. It's what I needed to hear. Thank you, Katie.

Doing what you did takes so much courage, Heather. Like crumbling and rising at all once. I know that feeling of losing your foundation. You are so not alone. I find a good set of expletives and tears alone in my car helps me release the anger too. "I'm walking away from a life narrative whose foundation was fear." Yes you are! Keep going. You're not settling, you're calling in what you want and what's not meant for your new level is falling away. I believe it's coming. I'm honored my words reached you when you needed them.
